Παίρνοντας αφορμή από το topic της Sheep εγκαινιάζω το νέο topic όπου μπορούμε να συλλέγουμε πληροφορίες, ανακοινώσεις και εντυπώσεις για τις Ευρωπαϊκές Εξετάσεις στις Ειδικότητες. Τα διπλώματα αυτά αναμένεται από πολλούς να παίξουν στο μέλλον πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο στα πλαίσια της ελεύθερης διακίνησης κι εργασίας των Επαγγελματιών Υγείας στα Κράτη-Μέλη της EU.

Ξεκινώ λοιπόν παραθέτοντας κάποια στοιχεία για τις ευρωπαϊκές εξετάσεις της Ω.Ρ.Λ

European Board Examination in Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (EBE ORL-HNS)

The European Examination Board in ORL was created by UEMS ORL Section and Board in October 2008. The European Board exam consists of two parts:

PART I: Written exam with 100 multiple choice questions. The next Part I written exam will be held in Nice, France (27th April 2013, first sitting) and in Vienna, Austria (1st September 2013, second sitting). Registration Fee: 400 Euros

PART II: Oral exam to complement the written part. Only those that have successfully passed part I are eligible to sit part II. The next Part II (oral exam) will be held on the 23rd November 2013 in Vienna, Austria. Only candidates who have passed part I will be able to register for this exam. Registration fee is 600,00 euro. This amount will be divided in two payments: Payment 1, of 400,00 euro to be entitled to sit the exam and Payment 2 of 200,00 euro for the completion of the certificate and diploma once the oral exam has been passed successfully.

LANGUAGE: The exam will be held ONLY in English

Candidates who have passed the part I (written) and II (oral) and are specialists according to their national boards in their home countries are “Fellows of the European Board of ORL-HNS” (Μπορούν να δώσουν και όσοι είναι στο τελευταίο έτος της ειδικότητας)

Through the Ebeorl a supra-national (European) independent Board will set up a quality standard for all Europe, to allow free movement of specialists between member countries. The European Board Exam is NOT an alternative to a national examination, where one exists. (γλυτώνεις όμως π.χ. τις εξετάσεις για το DOHNS στην Αγγλία)

The above books are only recommended lecture to prepare the exam but candidates should be up to date with recent literature and peer review journals in the field.
