Reader UCL Ear Institute Textbook The lectures will follow the general content and format provided by The Hearing Sciences (Second Edition) T.A. Hamill and L.L. Price, Plural Publishing, Inc. Although it is not essential to buy the textbook, it is recommended, as the course topics have been considered with this book in mind. Target audience Otolaryngology Residents, Musicians, Hearing Aid Technicians Goals To provide background information regarding various aspects of hearing science so as to enhance knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and disease process (pathophysiology) relevant to clinical practices. To provide attendees with an appreciation of the basic science and techniques behind hearing science and related clinical practices. This course is intended to provide an overall introduction to hearing science and its underlying physical, anatomical, and physiologic principles. Registration fees & Certificate: Attending the lectures is free. A registration fee of 30 Euros will be charged if a certificate is required. A certificate will be issued upon attending 80% of the lectures and achieving a score of 60% at the end of course evaluation (MCQ paper).
