Ακτινολογία στην Αγγλία

Γεια σας και από μένα!

Ξεκινάω ειδικότητα Ακτινολογίας στη Ρόδο και θα ήθελα να μάθω, αν έχοντας κάνει 1 χρόνο ειδικότητας στην Ελλάδα, θα αναγνωριστει στην Αγγλία. Ακόμα, για τους ακτινολογους ισχύει ότι ισχύει και για τις παθολογικές ή χειρουργικές ειδικότητες; Δηλαδή πρέπει να κάνω 1 ή 2 χρόνια FP? Ή είναι και εκεί ενιαία ειδικοτητα; Ευχαριστω εκ των προτέρων και καλη κουράγια σε όλους!

Any previous Radiology experience counts against you.

Trainees in their 1st year undertake exams in Physics, Radiation regulations and Anatomy which are a pre-requisite in order to progress. This is why they are very reluctant to accept anyone beyond the firsyear. You would also find it difficult to recognise any UK training in Greece, because no programme director would be willing to sign a document stating that 50% of your time you were doing plain films, fluoroscopy. You spend most of your time in CT, MRI, US, Intervention etc.

Competition is high and you need to have a 'UK' CV with prior clinical experience, audits etc. In the past prior medical or surgical exams were necessary. Things are a bit more relaxed now.
