We write to update you on the upcoming May 4, 2009 deadline for interested candidates to apply for admission to our master's degree program in environmental health in Cyprus. This intensive program encompasses over 50 credits of course work taught over a 12-month period (September through August). In an effort to recruit outstanding students and maintain high quality training, fewer than 20 students are admitted each year. Our students acquire skills that prepare them for leadership positions in governmental and international organizations, consulting, public service, private industry, and research. Many have gone on to pursue doctoral research at Harvard and other leading academic institutions.

After three years of operation at its first home in Nicosia, the Cyprus International Institute will join the Cyprus University of Technology. At the beginning of the 2009-2010 academic year, the graduate program in environmental health will thus be offered at the main campus of the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol. Beginning with the 2010-2011 academic year, the Cyprus International Institute's educational programs will expand.

By 2012, master's degree programs in environmental health, biostatistics and epidemiology, environmental management, and public health will be available
